Marbella Unveils Bold €20M Urban Regeneration Plan

Marbella is embarking on a transformative €20 million urban regeneration project aimed at revitalizing public spaces and fostering social inclusion. Backed by European funding, the Convive Marbella 2030 plan will enhance sports facilities and community hubs, ensuring no neighborhood is left behind.

The initiative aligns with the Agenda Urbana 2030 and consists of two key programs: Plan Reactiva (€4.5M) and Plan Red San Pedro Alcántara (€15.4M). With up to 85% of the funding expected from the EDIL program, Marbella’s local government will contribute the remaining 15%.

Many projects are already in advanced planning stages, with community consultations completed and some contracts underway. If approved, this initiative will build on Marbella’s strong track record of EU-funded urban improvements, ensuring a more inclusive, connected, and forward-thinking city for generations to come.
