The two-day conference “Noise and Air Pollution – Challenges in the Urban Environment” („Buka i aerozagađenje – Izazovi urbanog okruženja“) will take place on 24–25 November 2025 at the conference hall of the Science and Technology Park in Belgrade. Organized by Dirigent Acoustics, the event will bring together experts from public institutions, financial organizations, academia, and industry to support cities and major industrial facilities in creating cleaner air and quieter, healthier environments for their citizens.
With a strong focus on practical solutions, the conference aims to help local governments and public bodies navigate the full cycle of environmental projects—from initial planning to implementation—through legal guidance, financial mechanisms, and the latest professional and technical insights.
The program includes three core components:
• Financing Panel – exploring available funding mechanisms for environmental protection projects, with contributions from KfW, the Ministry of Finance, the Belgrade Stock Exchange, and others.
• Legal Panel – addressing regulatory frameworks related to noise protection and air quality, featuring representatives from the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the State Audit Institution, and the Delegation of the EU to Serbia.
• Expert Sessions – covering public health impacts (Institute “Batut”), industrial air pollution (Faculty of Mining and Geology), European case studies presented by guest experts from Poland, and practical experiences from Dirigent Acoustics in areas such as strategic noise mapping, action planning, acoustic zoning, measurement, and environmental monitoring.
By showcasing European best practices and local expertise, the conference seeks to accelerate the implementation of effective environmental solutions across Serbian cities and industrial zones.
