On April 2, 2025, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) has announced the recipients of the 2025 Leading Women Awards, celebrating five exceptional female leaders who are driving transformative change in corporate sustainability. The awards ceremony took place during WBCSD’s annual Liaison Delegate Meeting in Montreux, Switzerland.
The awardees are:
- Alice Chow, Strategic Development Director at Arup
- Béatrice Conde-Petit, Chief Sustainability Officer at Bühler Group
- Kara Hurst, Chief Sustainability Officer at Amazon
- Mariola Domenech, Sustainability Director at ACCIONA Energía
- Yuko Kitakaze, Global Chief Sustainability Officer at dentsu
These leaders have demonstrated outstanding commitment to integrating sustainability into their organizations’ core strategies, significantly advancing corporate sustainability efforts across industries. Their achievements include ambitious environmental targets, innovative business practices, and a focus on diversity and inclusion.
The recipients will join the 2025 Leap Program, a prestigious leadership development initiative in partnership with Yale University, ESADE Business School, and the National University of Singapore.
WBCSD received a record number of nominations this year, highlighting the growing impact of women leaders in shaping a sustainable future.
