The forum will feature leading academics such as Professor Jeffrey Sachs (Columbia University) and Professor Michael Pollitt (University of Cambridge), thought leaders in sustainability and economics, and prominent figures from international organizations, including Matilde Mordt, UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia, and Jorge Laguna-Celis, Director of One Planet Network at UNEP. The program also includes Lord Martin Rees, former Royal Astronomer and former President of the Royal Society, as well as experts in behavioral and circular economy, including Professor Lucia Reich and Professor Khaled Soufani from Cambridge Judge Business School.

A special highlight of the forum will be a panel discussion with the main negotiators behind the UN Sustainable Development Goals—David Donoghue, Csaba Kőrösi, and Macharia Kamau—offering a unique perspective on the formation of Agenda 2030 and global sustainability policy.

The program includes eight panels and thematic sessions addressing regional cooperation, circular economy, agriculture and food systems, energy transition, green jobs, innovation and resilience, and the role of artificial intelligence in sustainability. Participants will also have opportunities for informal discussions, initiative presentations, and networking with peers from the public, private, and academic sectors.

By bringing together international and local stakeholders, the Sustainable Development Forum 2025 positions Belgrade as a strategic hub for advancing sustainable development, circular economy, and smart industry solutions in the region.
